A reporter with a love for audience-centered community journalism

I'm a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism. I'm always looking for ways to create informative and engaging journalism that serves both loyal audiences and first-time listeners/readers.

I am the education reporter at Bridge Michigan, a nonprofit nonpartisan newsroom. Before that, I worked in journalism roles  in Columbia, MO; Knoxville, TN; and Brussels, Belgium.

I love interviewing students and seeing the world of school through their lens. I've tackled stories on how a local school district navigates the COVID-19 pandemic, how a community copes with losing teenagers to gun violence and how public universities grapple with an increasingly competitive market for potential college students
