I've reported on everything from health to education to state government. Regardless of the platform, I work hard to tell community-oriented stories. My radio feature about the role of police officers in student discipline earned a National Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

I've explored the history of the construction of I-40 at the Tennessee and North Carolina border. The Knoxville News Sentinel published the article as its first "subscriber-only" story in a new effort to serve its dedicated readers. My work attracted new digital subscribers.

I've reported on everything from health to education to state government. I worked with another reporter to tell the story of how police officers are involved in the discipline of middle school students. It earned a Region 7 Mark of Excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

I've written on the backstory behind the construction of I-40 at the Tennessee and North Carolina border. That article was the first story to be marked "subscriber-only" in Knoxville as the newsroom tried out a new way of serving its dedicated readers. My writing helped attract new digital subscribers.
